Home-made Remedies for Treating Acne

If you're suffering from acne, you'll probably want to start with a few tips for treating acne and acne scarring with home remedies. Home remedies are the most convenient treatment and they're also the cheapest. Here are a few home remedies that you could try from the comfort of your own home:

• Rub garlic cloves over the acne and let it sit overnight.
• Wash your face using an avocado paste that's been mixed with water.
• Wash your face with soap and water, then take a cotton ball that's been soaked in lemon water and apply it to your face.
• Every morning wash your face using a cotton ball soaked in vinegar.
• Separate the whites of an egg from the yolk. Next take a cotton ball and dip it into the egg whites and apply to your face. Let it sit for a few hours before washing it off.
• Lavender is said to help with acne inflammation.
• Juice a cucumber and apply the juice to the acne using a cotton ball.
• Use toothpaste on the acne. Do not apply it to your entire face, since toothpaste will dry your skin out. Instead, apply it only to the acne spot.
• Garlic is said to be one of the most effective acne treatments. Simply rub a clove over the pimple and leave overnight. You can also apply a Band-Aid over the pimple after you've applied the garlic and leave overnight.
• Mix vinegar with water or green tea in equal measures and apply to the skin. The vinegar will act as an antiseptic, which will hopefully clear up your acne.
• Lemons are used commonly in many cleaning products and they can be a great product to clean the skin on your face too. Take a cotton ball and add a few drops of freshly squeezed lemon juice and then gently rub the skin on your face to remove dirt and oil.
• Use apple cider vinegar to clean your face by applying a little to a cotton ball and then gently rubbing your face to remove dirt and oil buildup. This may feel a little uncomfortable because apple cider vinegar is acidic so it may sting. Use this on a small area of your face first and see if you can tolerate it otherwise use some of the other options like avocados as they should not sting as much.
• Drink freshly squeezed carrot juice to help give your body a surge of nutrients that can help it to heal your acne from the inside out. Often acne results from a poor diet lacking in nutrients so drinking fresh juices can be very beneficial. Obtaining a juicing machine can be a very good idea so you can make your own fresh juices instead of buying prepackaged juices which tend to contain many chemical preservatives and additives.

Drug Store or Online Methods of Treating Acne

There are lots of different products in drug stores and online that have been developed for curing acne and scarring. Depending on your skin type and how bad your acne actually is, will in most cases determine what product is best suited for you.
